(Temporarily) open for business

Empty storefronts are no good for neighborhoods. But 3Space, a UK nonprofit, has realized that they’re no good for landlords either. So the organization has taken the innovative path of temporarily putting community groups into vacant properties temporarily — and free of charge to the tenants. Unoccupied buildings across the UK have housed community groups, social enterprise organizations, and other nonprofits large and small for programs, exhibits, performances, and more.

We work in partnership with landlords and leaseholders to offer organisations that benefit the community temporary free of charge access to otherwise empty properties. These spaces are made available to other charities, registered community organisations and social enterprises for temporary, pop-up projects.
